Especially if you are shifting from a western country to an Indian country, you will see India to be cheap as the cost of living here is much lesser. Most ex-pats stay either in Mumbai or Delhi, as they are the most developed cities and metro cities. In India, prices are mainly influenced by the location, but you also bargain properly and get huge discounts.

 Finance Setup:

For the ex-pats or moving here permanently, you will still be required to open a 'Non-Resident' account with the banks. India is home to several international banks such as Citibank, HSBC, Royal Bank of Scotland, SBI etc. Once you have an account in India, you will be required to register with a company that will allow you to transfer all the funds from your origin country to your Indian bank.

Getting Work:

As the populated nation in the world, it indeed has a big competition in every industry. In India, there are double job seekers for the job. However, India has seen substantial economic growth in many sectors, including science, technology, mining, etc. The other entities, such as Finance, media, are also growing slowly. In India, just like other countries, personal preferences play a huge role. Hence, make sure your network is correct in the country and form some of the great connections to land you in an outstanding MNC with a high paycheck.

When it comes to schooling and colleges, India has some great public and international schools' options. Hence, you can choose for your children depending on your liking. Many Indian schools and colleges come in the global rankings for their education, extra-curricular activities, and overall development.

Visa requirement for the German people

Germans who want to travel to India require a  permitting visa allowing them to come into the country. With the new rules, India does not provide a visa on arrival, which was done before. Getting a visa to visit India is very much easier for Germans.

The Government has introduced a service of Tourist visa, which is available to almost accessible to 166 countries. Germany is also included in the list.

This eVisa service is provided to any citizen who wants to explore India as a short trip, for medical treatment, or anything business-related.

Each visit must have a purpose as there is a subcategory in the eVisa questioning the same. So one must mention in the application what the purpose is of the visit to the country.

How to apply for the visa?

While applying for a Indian visa from Germany, one can do almost everything online through the eVisa site. The application, after filling in, can be sent 120 days before the trip. The latest one can submit four days before the flight. With the help of an eVisa, one can live in India for as long as 90 days. However, there is no option to increase the stay of this particular visa once granted.

It also allows getting entry into the country via 24 airports such as the airports of  Delhi, Goa Mumbai, Chennai, and three seaports.

The requirements for the visa application

The requirements for a visa for German citizens are quite simple. The visa application is completely straightforward and does  require these documents, which are:

  • A fully completed application along with full payment

  • A valid dated passport. Applicants will also have to submit a scanned colored copy of one's biographical passport

  • A passport size photograph should be taken in a bright background

  • The application, as well as the documents, are to be submitted online. One can apply for the visa comfortably in their homes, which is why it is just the one for those planning for a short trip.

  • When one submits the documents, it is also essential to keep in mind that one meets all the requirements for the Indian embassy. If not, then it is likely that he or she is rejected.

Traveling to India has many purposes. Many come for ayurvedic treatments or confidential business trips, and many others come to experience the country's culture and traditions. From the above articles, it can be said that visa application is quite easy and can be done online itself. So if one wants to explore the country for 90 days, then applying for a Indian visa is just the option as they hardly require any effort. These are designed especially for the wanderlusts out there who like exploring each place. After all, we only live once.

Stay in a country after the expiry of the Visa

If you are thinking of visiting India either for work or for a vacation, it is an incredible place to stay in. You must know that if you overstay in India after your Visa has expired, you will have to deal with several consequences. And you should do everything to avoid these problems at all costs.

The number of international travelers coming to India has increased over the past few years. This is one reason why the Indian government has taken some steps to increase the punitive and penalties for the people who violate India’s immigration policy. People should try to stay in India only for the time they are permitted and be aware of what would happen if they overstay. There are also possibilities that one can extend their trip if their situation calls for it. This has to be done well in advance to avoid the consequences.

Overstaying after visa expiry

It is considered to be illegal for the visa holders if they overstay on their Indian Visa. It is always mentioned in the travel authorizations for all the foreign nationals about the specific time that they can stay in India. The time limit is deepened on the purpose of the visit and the type of visa that is issued to them. The validity for a tourist visa in 180 days, and business or work visa is also 180 days. If you are on a medical visa, the validity is for 60 days.

If a person is caught overstaying the specified time in their visa document, their stay will be considered illegal. This will start from the very day the Visa expires. In such a case, the visa holder will have to beat the legal or financial penalty. The people will have to pay fine to compensate for breaking the immigration rule. The money charges will differ, and it will keep on increasing depending on the period and length of the Visa that has been breached. The immigration department has tightened the laws of immigration, and this has caused the fines to increase.

Legal Penalties when overstaying

The visa holders that have expired visas will have to pay the fine, along with that they also have to be charged with legal penalties. The government of India can take legal action against the Indian E Visa holders if they overstay. If they overstay in India for a short term, then the government and authority don’t likely take full legal action. However, if one commits fraudulent activities or crimes in India, they will be banned from traveling to India for a fixed period or life. In some extreme cases, Indian law and authority can even allow prison sentences for up to 5 years.
